Privacy Policy
We are happy to see that you care for your privacy just like we do. On this page we will go over our privacy policy. For the international online community that we are, privacy rules are a challenge, since there are no global agreements on this. Trulof is established in Ireland, a lovely country within the EU Region and we will, therefore, abide by the GDPR.
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit https://www.trulof.com/ (the “site”)
Realise that if you follow us on social media such as Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest, they have their own policy on Data Protection that is beyond our reach.
Community members
Trulof community consists of loads of people all around the world joining in to relish in a sustainable lifestyle. When you join our community by signing up for the newsletter, we ask your name, surname, your email address, and we get to see your country. We might receive additional data that you send us voluntarily in a message through email, or contact form or on our socials. We don’t officially keep track of this data and we strongly advise you not to send personal information to us. We collect your data to welcome you as a Trulof community member, and to send you occasional exclusive Newsletters and information on Sustainable LifeStyle. We do so because you asked us to do this when you signed up for the newsletter. The legal basis is permission, and you can step out of the community at any time by using the signing off link in our emails.
We love receiving your emails, and most of the time we delete it directly after reading it. Sometimes we keep it for a few months to give us some time to respond or to apply any ideas, requests, or suggestions that you ask us to add to the community.
Any response that you give on our social media channels will remain posted until you delete it yourself, or the channel decides to archive or delete your messages. When we decide that a response is compromising in any way, we are free to delete that response. For more information, see our Terms of Use.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Google Analytics: When someone visits our site, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Social media
We use social media channels to provide community info. Mainly Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. In order to see our social media on these channels, you have to accept their privacy policy. These channels collect a lot of your personal data on their behalf. Note that we are not responsible for such services. These channels do not return personal data to us. We are financially compensated by some channels because of the success and reach of our Community. You as a member financially support us by simply watching our footage, how cool is that.
